Immerse yourself in the remarkable life of the Marquis de Lafayette, a pivotal figure in both the American and French Revolutions. Historian Marc Leepson, author of "Lafayette: Idealist General," will take us on an engaging journey through Lafayette’s extraordinary life, including his return to Virginia in 1825. The Norris Tavern in Warrenton, Oak Hill in Aldie, and Temple Hall are just a few of his many stops throughout the Heritage Area in August of 1825 as part of his nationwide Farewell Tour that symbolized the enduring bond between France and the United States. Join us in an in-depth look at the "Hero of Two Worlds" as we approach the 200th anniversary of this visit in 2025.
